Alfonso Cuarón Orozco was born on November 8, 1961 in Mexico City, Mexico. He went to the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He was in the CUEC, the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos, or University Center for Film Studies at NAUM. There he met director Carlos Marcovich and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, who later worked with Cuarón many times. Cuarón went on to work in television, first as a technician and eventually as a director. Cuarón has directed, written and edited countless films, TV shows, short films and documentaries. His most famous films include Great Expectations, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Gravity. He has also created many films in Spanish, such as Sólo con tu pareja and Y Tu Mamá También. He has won two Academy Awards, for Best Director and Best Film Editing for Gravity. He was also won countless other awards for his films.

I really liked your report because it was really informative. I also really liked how you threw in that youtube video. I can definitely see how pushing the actors with their emotions is such a big deal because as you mentioned we need to keep the audience drawn. I also really liked how you put in how he began wanting to become a cinematographer.
